Want to be an MCT Here’s your chance!

When you put the Vantablack Sequential One on, it's a strange feeling. First off, at 45mm square and 15.5mm thick, this is a big watch. Even with the arched lugs, it definitely wears as big as it is, though the DLC titanium construction does keep the weight down. Looking at the dial is a bit disorienting on the wrist. It's the pure opposite of a skeleton. Instead of offering transparency, it offers nothingness. Right there on your wrist. One is inclined to feel like a super villain.

According to the website Netmarketshare, a massive 56% of computers still run Windows 7, with only 10.5% using Windows 10 and 11% still using Windows 8.1. This means that if you're reading this, there's a pretty good chance you haven't upgraded yet.

Initial problems such as privacy have largely been resolved. There are now plenty of options you can untick to prevent Microsoft gathering data about you and your PC, plus it's now possible to prevent non-security updates installing automatically as well. There remain one or two small issues, but having used the OS since launch and updated my precious main system recently too, I'm now confident to recommend that everyone installs it. At the very least, you should register your free upgrade by installing it, even if you revert back to Windows 7 or Windows 8.1.

Alternatively, you can visit Microsoft's website and start the install process there. The key here is that you must 'upgrade' and not perform a fresh install yet in order to avoid activation issues. You'll likely need to download it first if you haven't seen any upgrade messages, but once you've upgraded your current activated copy of Windows 7 or 8.1, you'll have registered your copy of Windows 10.

There are a couple of essential steps to perform before this, though, and the first is to backup your PC. I like to assume the worst here and that is that the install process goes horribly wrong and you can't get at your data and programs. It's rare, but it has happened on more than a few people's PCs when they upgraded so don't take that risk. Backup anything essential to an external hard disk or USB flash drive. Also, make sure your OS is completely up to date. Finally, do this over a fast Internet connection as you'll likely need to download the OS and a few updates too.

When installing Windows 10, you can keep all your old programs and files. When the install is complete, everything should be as it was, except you now have Windows 10 installed - there's no need to install anything again or copy back over all your files.

You'll likely see the download window pop up and the progress of your Windows 10 download. If you don't want to keep certain items after you've upgraded, there's the option to fine tune this as well, but for now, I'd just go with the default options. Once the OS is installed, you can deselect the various data-gathering options at the start - see more about this on page 3.

There is one down side to upgrading, though, and that's Windows 10 has essentially been installed over your old copy of Windows. This does mean you can revert back if needed, but amongst other things it also means that a huge chunk of hard disk space is being wasted, housing your old OS.

Insert your USB stick, click next, and thankfully another change that Microsoft has made is that the tool now auto recognizes the correct options for your PC. As you can see here, the options are grayed out when the selection box below is ticked. If you're creating a USB install disk for another PC with different requirements, then you may or may not be in luck. If that PC needs a 32-bit version of Windows 10, then you can indeed choose either a 32-bit or 64-bit version.

However, Microsoft has since removed the option to select different versions of the OS, even if you untick the selection box. This is a bit of a pain - for instance, if you want to create a set of backup flash drives for all your devices as I do, I now have to repeat the process on each device. My laptop came with Windows 8.1 Pro, but I can't select that in the MCT- only the standard version.

Back to the MCT and on the next step select USB flash drive and start creating your install drive. This can take 5-10 minutes while the files are downloaded, after which you can head to your PC and insert the drive into a USB port. Now, to get your PC to boot from the drive, there may be a 'boot option' selection when it first boots up (often by pressing F12 or F8). Alternatively, you can head into the BIOS by tapping the 'del' key during bootup and finding your motherboard's boot options in there, selecting your USB drive as the first device.

Then delete any partitions on the drive at the moment. If you have more than one hard disk in your PC, you may want to keep the data on it so be very, very sure you only delete the partitions on your OS drive, which is likely named Disk 0. If you're not sure, disconnect the second drive so there's no chance of accidentally deleting your data.

What are Harvard's average SAT scores and GPA? In this guide, we'll discuss what scores are needed for you to get admitted into Harvard. You'll also get to calculate your own chances with our admissions calculator.

There are three critical numbers when considering your admissions chances: SAT scores, GPA, and acceptance rate. All these combine to tell you what you scores are required to get into Harvard University.

In other words, a 1460 places you below average, while a 1580 will move you up to above average. There's no absolute SAT requirement at Harvard, but they really want to see at least a 1460 to have a chance at being considered.

This is only part of the challenge - after this, you'll need to impress them beyond your academic scores, with your accomplishments and extracurriculars. But if you apply with a 1520 SAT or below, you unfortunately have a small chance of getting in.

Whether MCT oil is a staple in your diet (keto followers, looking at you) or you've just stumbled upon it in a smoothie recipe or two, chances are you've had *some* type of interaction with this buzzy supplement. But no matter your exposure to it, the fact remains that, for those who aren't highly tapped into the nutrition world, MCT oil and its benefits, use, and what it even is can be a little fuzzy.

Of course, if you're here, there's a chance you're interested in MCT oil because it's a popular part of the the ketogenic diet, a high-fat, low-carb diet that's exploded in popularity the past couple of years. "MCTs can be easily converted to 'ketones,' so taking MCT oil can help some people stay in ketosis more easily because it can actually help increase ketone production," explains Hultin.

If you do decide to take it, don't assume that there's a formula that will tell you how much to take, as each person's medical history, diet, and goals are extremely different, says Hultin. Instead, she explains, you should "work with a health care provider like a doctor or registered dietitian nutritionist who can really help tailor a plan" specifically to your needs.

As for its actual use, there are a number of ways you can incorporate MCT oil into your diet should you decide to. Hultin often uses it in smoothies with her patients, as well as in "fat bombs," which are high-fat snacks that are keto-friendly. However, both experts warn against heating MCT oil, as Feller says it "has a low smoke point making it susceptible to degradation at high heat."

Now, I want to explain this further. Drinking this coffee will break your fast from the night time, but it will ramp up your metabolism with caffeine and fats. This is to help you get through the fasting process in the 10+ hours ahead.

Heart Attacks? The myth that saturated fat increases the chance of Coronary Heart Disease has been debunked over and over. Recent studies show that saturated fats can actually have a positive effect on your overall heart health.

You may wonder isn't fat bad for you, but your body needs some fat from food. It's a major source of energy. It helps you absorb some vitamins and minerals. Fat is needed to build cell membranes, the vital exterior of each cell, and the sheaths surrounding nerves. It is essential for blood clotting, muscle movement, and inflammation. For long-term health, some fats are better than others. Good fats include monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. Bad ones include industrial-made trans fats. Saturated fats fall somewhere in the middle.

Polyunsaturated fats. When you pour liquid cooking oil into a pan, there's a good chance you're using polyunsaturated fat. Corn oil, sunflower oil, and safflower oil are common examples. Polyunsaturated fats are essential fats. That means they're required for normal body functions, but your body can't make them. So, you must get them from food. Polyunsaturated fats are used to build cell membranes and the covering of nerves. They are needed for blood clotting, muscle movement, and inflammation.

The energy boosting benefits of medium-chain triglycerides may also help support weight loss efforts since increased energy means a better chance you will have the motivation to stick to your exercise plan, and power through your workouts.

Want to add an even bigger energy punch to your morning cup of coffee? Try making a collagen coffee like one of our energy-boosting coffee recipes here. With the addition of MCT oil plus collagen, you will have long-lasting energy to get you through an intense workout, or a busy morning at work.

If you are in need of a serious energy boost, adding MCT oil to your diet may be something you want to consider. MCT oil can benefit your energy levels whether you are trying to boost exercise endurance, have more energy after an intense workout, or simply need more energy to power through your busy day, MCT oil may do just the trick. 2ff7e9595c
